Débuting its Autumn Winter 2016/2017 Prêt à Porter Collection, Dior redefines the classic Parisian silhouette.

With Dior Prêt à Porter, the stylised understands the need for layering, mixing and matching accessories and colours to create an unforgettable stance and approach to her own personalised style, thus creating a statement for the day of her psyche and projections.

In the heart of Paris at the Louvre Museum, France’s fashion giant Christian Dior set out to redefine the classic Parisian silhouette to an audience of stars including Kris Jenner, Emmy Rossum and Jessica Alba. Before the curtain rose in the palace turned art museum, fashionistas, photographers, and celebrities crowded the courtyard. The Autumn Winter 2016-17 collection itself was centered around crisp, dark silhouettes, designed to embody the updated Parisian, with a rebellious streak. Bold colours were splashed on clean shapes with one model sporting a burnt orange sweater with puffy sleeves and a high-wasted blue pencil skirt.

Eccentric, whimsical, adorned. She is seductive. Assertive. Fun-loving — Many wore sunglasses giving the collection a wearable vibe that belied its skyscraper heels.

The accessories stood out with multi-clip ear jewellery and handbags made from exotic and most sought after reptilian and ostrich leathers. Since Raf Simons left in October 2015, currently there is no one officially at the helm, but the show certainly went on.
